The Little Black Book
A site dedicated to supplying unlimited meeting opportunities for students at UCSD.
Project Summary
The Little Black Book is a site that was designed and developed for students at the University College of San Diego. We were contacted by The Little Black Book to help them create a website where students would be able to meet and create relationships via a mini-social networking website. With over 30,000 students at UCSD along with their academic requirements and La Jolla's unfriendly attitude noise ordnance of 8:30PM , meeting others can be difficult.
We created a custom Content Management System for The Little Black Book so they can manage the content and its users on the website. Only students attending UCSD are able to create an account online. We created a custom PHP module called "Daring Pairing", which allows match-making immediately with another adventurer seeker. Both users receive an email notification with the other "pair's" email address and they take it from there.
Other sections that we created are Events, custom Profiles and Private Messaging. Video Chat will be coming soon as well.
